One idea was student loan collection could have been moved from the Dept of Education to the Treasury instead (IRS). Makes sense to me. The IRS knows how to collect.

That’s all that is in the DC job pool to choose from. Trump has been on his own the whole time.

A quite to his son right before he defended the revelator beginning his journey, “Now we will find out who our friends really are”.

He is an amazing leader and I am sticking by him.

I think the romney family had a part in that recomendation. When mitt for brains was campaigning for president, and dick devos was campaigning for Mi gov. They campaigned together. Thune also joined them on the stump.

As they say, birds of a feather flock together.

I despise this damn tablet and auto correct with every fiber of my being. I’m gonna give it the Candle sterilization treatment as soon as I get a new device!

Yes! She was villified by the left, but there are plenty of “paid looser” positions available. Just ask Bernie Sanders.

Well, I count that as a good thing. Who wants T. Rex romping through the back yard? /s

In point of fact, Trump ultimately was unable to extirpate the dinosaurs who needed to go. But he gave it a hell of a try, for which I salute him.

His biggest mistake was choosing Pence....he could have picked one of the few good ones, like Louie Gohmert.... I think he was trying to balance out his playboy lifestyle with Pence on the ticket....fatal error.... not that they could have taken on everyone by themselves, but it would’ve helped

I’m not the one who came up with this information. I was responding to AmericaninTokyo’s post #17 and quoted what he said so people would know what I was responding to. You’re obviously as stunned as I was.

I agree with the above: this is one less voter on invoking the 25th amendment.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments

So it takes pence and a majority vote, so the acting officers would get the vote in place of these resigners. Trump could immediately select loyalists. pence IS NOT going there so this is dead. Plus a 2/3rd vote in both houses.

[Cabinet secretaries must be confirmed by the Senate. Mitch McConnell basically picked them all for President Trump.]

True. Reagan won 44 states. While he needed GOP majorities to ensure his nominees got through, no GOP panjandrum was foolhardy enough to tangle with him on his picks.

He was a fraud for sure.

The very second he went after Trump, I was still on Facebook and I went after him there.........his pseudo Republican backers tried to defend him but I think they were even surprised.

I remember that campaign.

The DeVos family is much to conservative for Michigan.......it’s a damn shame.

Jennifer Grandstand just rode the Woman’s Rights (Abortion) train to victory.

Everyone that wants a job in DC in February is capitulating. No honor amount them.

They recognize that no "think tank", NGO, or non-profit will hire them (because the employer will face sanctions from the Left) unless they repudiate Trump and kneel to their new masters.

Just goes to show these pieces of poo NEVER had the President’s back..EVER..

Do you really think the Senate would have confirmed anyone who would TRULY back Trump's agenda? This makes me wonder about the true worth of all those Trump judges.

Trump was crippled from the start, but still managed to get much done regardless.

Reagan also governed at a time when the Senate confirmation process was not much more than a mere formality. That all changed forever with the Robert Bork nomination during his second term.
