All of Obama’s public missteps were covered over, whether it was the police acting stupidly, if he had a son (with Trayvon), and this gem from October 2020 (shortly before the election):

And I’ve said this before, but I can’t emphasize this enough, when you and I were growing up, you know, you had Walter Cronkite, David Brinkley, you had John Chancellor. It wasn’t scintillating television, but whether you were a conservative or a liberal, you got your news from the same place, so you had some common baseline of facts, and now you don’t.”
I call this the “disinformation age”. It’s very disturbing, this era of fake news. Twitter is terrible about spreading foreign and domestic sourced misinformation, disinformation, and outright propaganda. I’m not totally convinced we’re any better informed than your average Chinese “citizen”.
