Looking at the circumstances today. Ashli was attempting to breach a barricaded door/window after it had been smashed. The guy with the pistol was trained to protect whomever was on the other side of that barricade.
I personally think the cops on the same side as Ashli should have snatched her out of that window...to save her life, knowing if she made it through she’d likely be shot.
The guy who shot her didn’t know whether she was a dude or a chick. How would he? She was covered up. How did he know what the intent of this person was?
Not taking up for the shooter cuz I think deadly force was a bit over the top, but damn people, think about what YOU would do if you were faced with people coming into your place, tearing stuff up, smashing windows then as a last resort, your back against the wall in a make shift barricade...someone breaches it.
Hmmm. It was unfortunate Ashli was shot and killed. Ashli should have made a better choice.

It didn’t sound like he even gave her a chance to save her life by ordering her to back down, and I’m not even sure she saw the gun being pointed at her. There was absolutely no justification for shooting her in that situation.
