Absolutely Not, and if you understood the world you are now living in, you would understand why that is not a good idea. I would suggest even in the world shortly after our founding early 1800’s as an example it would not have been a good idea.
Just maintaining the Constitution we have is hard enough without fighting those looking for an opportunity to foist another one without the protections of the one the Founders gave us. As I see it Article V and the people promoting it do not understand the enemy.
I have years of experience on both sides of the issue as an elected official dealing with those who think Article V is the answer to what troubles us. For example if Donald J. Trump can be run out of town on a rail as your lying eyes are watching take place. How long do you think the Constitution the founders provided us will last at the hands of those responsible for our President’s departure thirteen days from now.
No Constitutional Convention not now not ever. No amount of law making will be sufficient as a protection, when we stand as a truly lawless nation. The Constitution of the United States of America is barely followed now. God be praised for the limited following it has.
The Constitution is not the problem. It is we the people that is the real problem and the government some us are wanting and voting for in direct opposition to that of the Founders.
That's why the sole business of the Article V Convention would be to separate the blue areas from the red areas, prevent blue from immigrating into red areas, and otherwise dealing with the impact and implementation of our national divorce.
We must separate ourselves from them. This must be the starting point of all further deliberations.
