The congress votes to accept the elector votes.

Then, the VP comes along and rejects those elector votes.

VP rejecting elector votes is what some people here wanted (thought?) Pence would do.

"You don’t understand how contingency voting works or can’t articulate what you’re trying to say."

For you to make such a declaratory statement shows how ignorant you are on what you've accused me of.
If your going to call someone ignorant on a subject, like you did, you better do your homework first if you don't want to look like a fool.
My posting history is FILLED with actual documented references to the history and the law on this process, including several on contingency voting and the overall process:

Counting Electoral Votes: An Overview of Procedures at the Joint Session, Including Objections by Members of Congress https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/details?prodcode=RL32717

Go troll someone else.

I believe you have the order wrong.

There is no reason to even accept or consider. He sends it to contingency without debate because there is no reason for debate.

I agree there is no reason to send it to debate if the vp is not going to accept them. But it is the senate and house that send it to debate, not the vp.

I am not arguing whether the vp has that power or not. That’s a separate issue.
