Honestly I am paying close attention to all of this but this action that President Trump wants Mike Pence to take confuses me.
I know that a senator can bring up a state’s set of electors for which they protest. Then there is a two hour debate on the matter and then a vote.
How does Mike Pence fit in that matter besides presiding over the proceedings?
Is Pence allowed to over-ride the vote of the senate?
Anybody can explain what I’m missing here?
