Republican and Dem leadership are asking President to urge people to leave the Capitol. Pentagon has now approved deployment of the DC National Guard (1100) to assist in DC at Mayor’s request. Six people in Capitol have been sent to hospital. Some pipe bombs have been disarmed. My son in Puerto Rico just called, and may call later to tell me the mood in Puerto Rico.
