Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s administration refiled an emergency COVID-19 rule similar to one that expired Monday to continue statewide mask and social distancing requirements for Illinoisans for another 150 days.
...
“Any individual who is over age two and able to medically tolerate a face covering (a mask or cloth face covering) shall be required to cover their nose and mouth with a face covering when in a public place and unable to maintain at least a six-foot social distance,” the rule states. “This requirement applies whether in an indoor space, such as a store, or in an outdoor space.”

Good job, Pritzker. You, your edicts and your taxes are the main reasons we moved out of Illinois two months ago. It is so good to be out of there!
Because so many women and former American “men” are too terrified and, frankly, too cowardly to do anything other than obey what a politician or an unelected bureaucrat unilaterally commands they do, the only way this tyranny will stop is if it is forced to stop ... physically forced to stop by American citizens with the resources, the skills and the courage to put an end to this sh!t.
Mandates and womandates.
I expected the COVID nonsense to stop after election day and was wrong. Just realized the reason they are still doing this is to keep us from expressing our political opinions in groups. Everyone I speak to, old and young know the election was stolen and are not happy. The comments on this board are becoming more hostile everyday. Many, for the first time have also realized the media lies and their well being is not our fake politicians priorities. It’s only a matter of time, maybe today that CWII becomes hot. Keeping us apart delays this.
Well done. BTTT
Sadly, people like Pritzker will not stop, until he is removed from office by losing an election or a successful act of violence. With the latter, you get another democrat, so that step is just like removing a leader in Iran or the Taliban.
I was lucky enough to be able to flee that sh&thole last year. I was born in IL and lived there all my life (I’m 62). There is no way, as a retired person, that I could continue to afford their high property taxes. I’m glad you were able to escape too!
That's a whopping huge loophole. There are a bunch of medical conditions that make it inadvisable to wear masks. The mask nazis can't even ask you about your condition according to actual federal law. See ADA and HIPPA. These are actual laws, passed by an actual congress and signed by an actual president, as opposed to these stupid and unconstitutional edicts.
If you would like to participate in some useful civil disobedience, print off a copy of this graphic, and carry it with you...
COSTCO (and probably others) get around that by saying if you can't wear a mask, you must wear a face shield.
1. Any meeting in a public place (even a city park) is limited to members of one single household, and one 'guest' (friend of the family, neighbor, aunt, etc). Kids under 14 don't count in this ban rule.
2. If you live in a hot-spot....the curfew is now 24 hours a day.....seven days a week (not just after 9 PM in the rest of the state).
Hot-spot? If you live in a town where the past seven days have averaged 200 new infections per 100,000 residents....you are a hot-spot.
3. Hot-spot people are limited to a 15-kilometer (9 miles) circle that they can go and travel to (unless you are going to work, or have some emergency). If live in such a town and are found 17 kilometers away by the police with no legit reason to be that far from home? A fine."
It's all in the name of "It's for your safety."
The proper response to this is "Amazon appreciates your support!", along with a middle finger salute.

As I’m sure you know, taxes are assessed by county in Illinois, so a lot depends on where you live in Illinois.
I live in a small town in Tazewell county and my taxes are slightly lower than when I bought my house in 1992, mainly due to the reduction when I turned 65.
I live in DeKalb, and my real estate taxes are lower than what I used to pay in McHenry County. Similar sized but slightly smaller house.
BUT, I recently started looking online at western indiana, midway between the kids. Those taxes are about 1/3 of what I pay now. If I could get grandma away from the grandchildren, I would be moving asap. And not just for the taxes.
