If Trump just signs the bill and doesn’t try and outdo Bernie Sanders, this isn’t an issue. The $2,000 story doesn’t exist if Trump didn’t make it a story. I love the guy, but that was not smart.
McConnell made it the damn story by refusing to consider the stand alone (STAND ALONE) $2,000 payment passed by the House.
