Manchin can be bought. He probably won’t seek re-election. They got his vote for impeachment even though his constituents were overwhelmingly opposed.
Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema are at least two Democratic Senators who’ve explicitly stated opposition to abolishing the filibuster too.
50-50 with Democrats like Manchin and Sinema isn’t enough to pass the super crazy crap like new states or court-packing, but I worry what it means for immigration and guns.

Remember Joe Manchin shooting the Obama care bill? What did he say then and when he was re-elected? This guy is a great big liar.. He wants power just like them. He will vote Democrat!! If it was Susan Collins or Lisa from Alaska would vote with the Democrats!!

I hope that you’re right, but the Left plays for keeps. Wait til Joe is in DC in 6 months and his wife gets an unmarked envelope on their front stoop with pictures of their grandkids at school, at play, etc. Joe will then “surprisingly” vote for DC and PR statehood, gun bans and whatever else is on the Left’s agenda.
