What the "Pence as last hope" nuts think is that the VP, as presiding over the counting of the electoral votes, can throw out state's certified electors as he please, absent any votes by congress or court rulings.

The VP has no such authority.

We are at the grasping at straws stage, and this looks to be the last remaining straw.

The Constitution is being ignored by Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada when it comes to their state legislators owning the election process. It can be ignored by Pence as well. Not only that, the supreme court no longer exist as they have committed legal suicide by running from their primary duty of resolving issues between states. We are playing by new rules and no longer bound by the Constitution. In fact, I think the new rules give states that aren’t on either the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean 10 extra representatives in the House and two extra Senators each in the Senate.
