I believe there is a group of pedophiles in high positions. This has been the case for hundreds of years in many countries. The overpowering desire for control over others can manifest itself as political or sexual dominance. They can both be attractive to that deviant mind set.

That said, Lin Wood's scenario is asinine and impossible. Even with a gun to your head, a normal person could not rape and kill a child. And if you were weak or weird and could do it, they couldn't blackmail you with the video because the video would show you were forced to do it with a gun to your head.
