I am not a sniper by a long shot but reliably hit at 800 meters with it. Also SVD is not a sniper’s but more like marksman’s rifle.

On the edwards plateau where I took shots I never shot over 350 at a whitetail standing still with a .243 or .308 or .30-06

In the hills on the tennessee river where I hunt now in Perry county near mouse tail landing....to be precise the PlanetH20 bottle water company artesian well system sits on one of our a leases...3600 acres with up and down 4-700 foot gradient ups and downs

My average shot is 40-80yards and maybe 200 in a dice field ....plowed corn bottom....Lick Creek ....

I like Mosins for the old cost..a decent shoulder slammer...they damn kick

But the dragon platform is not impressive to me

Or a Rossi breech 35 Whelen with decent glass high is a tack driver ....250 grain core lokt

Deer fall they do t wander off lunged or ventricle hit like with a .243 or 25-06
