Personally, I don't care what issues that they didn't want to try to renegotiate on. The only issue that matters is the signal that this sent. Republicans in the Senate and House demonstrated conclusively that unlike the Democrats they cannot be relied on to stick together. Republicans signaled once again that they are a bunch of surrender monkeys.

We had a landslide election for President Trump that was stolen most likely along with scores of house and senate seats and instead of standing tall these guys are all cowering in the corners... D I S G U S T I N G ! ! !

I am sorry I got confused about which thread that I was replying to you on... but the point remains the same. Right now Republicans in the Senate and the house need to be a strong unified block that is supporting the president.
