What is Rule 308?

7.62 x 51 mm or 7.62 x 54mmR. From the breakup of the former Republic of Yugoslavia.

Nothing says hate like .308, especially when liberally applied to liberals from distances of 400 yards and up.

What is Rule 308?

From the court martial of Breaker Morant in 1902:

"Was it like this? No; it was not quite so handsome. As to rules and regulations, we had no Red Book, and knew nothing about them. We were out fighting the Boers, not sitting comfortably behind barb-wire entanglements; we got them and shot them under Rule 303!"

It refers to the Lee Enfield .303 rifle. Rule .308 is the modern adaptation.
