You must have me confused with some other poster, I never said any of that. I'm on record here many times saying the lockdowns are BS and the economic harm from them is much more dangerous than the virus itself. What I did say was It seems to have almost become a status symbol around here to make blanket dumb statements like "you have nothing to worry about unless you're old with comorbidities". That's simply not true. I stand by that statement. There are several posters here repeating that and as this 41 year old man shows you don't have to be old with underlying conditions for it to affect you. None of the doctors who post here will tell you it won't affect the young, but for some reason we're supposed to take that as gospel coming from random posters with no medical training who believe it's a conspiracy. No wonder several of the MD's who post here have thrown up their hands in frustration, they're tired of arguing with people who have no idea what they're talking about and are convinced you can't be harmed by this virus unless you're 80 years old with diabetes and kidney failure.
STILL, GaryCrow, it would be “nice” , just ONCE to have a real medical EXPLANATION, with some details filled in, especially since Letlow is just the latest in a processions of well-known and little-known political figures from both sides of the aisle who, either “contracted” CVirus,(the majority) we’re told, or, very rarely, as in Letlow’s case, died “of” Coronavirus. W/O details, this, like all publicized cases, looks like just another ploy and another small brick in the wall to build a case for further lockdowns and further demagoguery-—aren’t we all fed up at this point at being pawns in this game? SOrry, it seems clear to me how this particular case is being exploited.The cynicism you see from many of us, is well-founded, especially now, as the momentum is building and we’re being rushed once again, into a new phase this was all about in the first place, which is the urging of mass vaccination.
