People at TheDonald.Win are planning to attend the Protest in D.C. on January 6th, and are lending their advice and experience with DC subways etc. One advises visitors to AVOID the subways and park at Arlington Cemetery, then walk across the Memorial Bridge to the mall area where the U.S. Congress is - about 3 miles.

Sorry, I don't know about parking around D.C. itself. There is public parking "outside the DC beltway" of 495, like along route 66 in Fairfax. If you dare take the subway, you could park in Fairfax and take that into downtown DC.

But - the best plan might be -- meeting up with others in Fairfax (for example) to car pool in -- or, use Uber from a surrounding town like Faifax, Vienna, Arlington.

How you get back to your car later is another issue. There may be SO MANY Maga people, you may hitch a ride easily. But I'd prepare for the worst -- such as lost/difficult cell connection to find an Uber... If it's getting dark, by all means STAY WITH GROUPS OF PEOPLE that you know & trust.

I'd take any Trump stickers, flags OFF my car. Even out of state plates may attract the attention of Marxist thugs - but not much one can do about that...

Try to go if you can. Not everyone will be able to, but be there in spirit if not.

That’s weird as I get that blocked access notification (that I also ignore) that mentions TheDonald.Win only when I access WarRoom Pandemic. It may be when I view it from the Pandemic.warroom website, or America’s Choice (live feed) but never when watching on YouTube.

Good to hear the subway is looking OK. I lived in Fairfax and then Arlington & Alexandria for several years back in the '90's. Have not been there in 20 years - so was not sure about how subways are doing now. The DC metro subways were FANTASTIC when I live there in 1992 with my late hubby -- very clean, great to use.

The "Green line" goes through rough neighborhoods like Anacostia. Sounds like taking the Orange or Blue lines, and avoiding any interaction with Green line is best option.

Given that Anti-1stAmdt and B. Losers M. are the biggest cry bullies ever, I assume that "anything" could happen. Such as sabotaging the DC subways - etc, etc.

Everyone attending on 1/6 should EXPECT anything could happen - even having to stay in town on the Mall, no hotel room, for 2-3 days. Just saying...

As someone who is law enforcement in the area and has been to the two previous pro-Trump events, please listen to me here:

If you are going to the multiple events either at Freedom Plaza or at the Capitol, enjoy the official program of speakers at the official locations.

Once the programs end, please make it back to your hotels/cars before the sun goes down. Once again, this event will be heavily attended by the fringe elements from both sides of the ideological spectrum. After the official program ends, both sides will roam the streets around BLM Plaza looking for fights. They will hang out on the sidewalks outside their hotels drinking and smoking and confronting anyone who looks like they belong to the other side.

On the whole, neither side wants to ACTUALLY get in fights. They want to look tough and yell a lot. But make no mistake, there are some individuals on both sides who are irrational and absolutely looking for violence.

If you're reading this post you're probably a normal person who wants to go support the President. Good for you! Enjoy DC! But do not dilly-dally after the event, please. It's just not worth it.
