Re: "devastating cyber attack on several US government agencies"

More like a "breach" than an attack.

Six full days since this was discovered, and no one has confirmed any sabotage or any data extraction.

Every article I read on this is the same...

One paragraph full of "appears to be" and "believed to be" sentences.

Followed by one paragraph of maniacal attacks on Donald Trump for allowing the worst hack in American history.

And, blaming Russia?

I have no idea who hacked us.

But if our politically corrupt intelligence community says Russia, then I am 100% certain it is NOT Russia!

The back door was inserted last spring and presumably used since then. That's plenty of time to do some serious damage. The company says there are "fewer than 18,000" vicitims (not sure if that means servers or customers) with the backdoor. In the big picture that's actually a small number of vicitims, but there are some high profile victims on enterprise servers. We may never figure out what they stole, and it will take weeks or months to remove the other back doors that have been planted via the Orion back door.
