I'm sure there are strict rules in vax testing and trials about "using the elderly." That said, while it's the under 40 crowd accounting for a big chunk of the "cases," it is people over 60 who disproportionately get hospitalized and die. Thus, it is mind-boggling that "(t)here's a question about the direct benefit of the vaccine, if given to people who live in (long-term care) facilities, because we haven't studied how well it works in that group yet."

So..... it’s horrible if the elderly die of covid, but no big deal if they die of the vaccine???
Can we see the CDC’s rating for how bad it is when our elder loved ones die, according to the agency’s hierarchy of good or bad deaths? I need to know which they think is worse, Grandma dying from a shark attack or a lightning strike. So we will know how sad to be at the funeral.
