It’s very old news: the reporter of this breaking story is 2 or 3 decades late.

“Net domestic migration” has been a negative number for California since the 1990s. Translated, that means more people are moving out of California to some other state than moving in from some other state. What keeps the land of fruits and nuts growing is the third-world birth rate, and invaders from foreign countries. Hell, California IS pretty much a foreign country and has been for at least a quarter century.

25% of “Californians” are foreign born. Add in their children and you get an idea of why California no longer has a lot in common with the culture of the rest of the country.

This was aided and abetted by Bush Republicans who never met a foreign national that they didn’t prefer to an American native.

I suspect more people from outside the USA are moving into California than people are moving out. Spanish is making a bid to become the dominant language in California.
