Actually, the more people that get infected, the more opportunity the virus has to mutate. Each copy made is an opportunity for a random error in the copy that’s beneficial to the virus. Each infected person produces quadrillions of copies.
Yes, let folks get to herd immunity. The more healthy people who get it, who likely won’t even know it, the faster it hasn’t room to propagate any longer.
Obviously it’s being used as a political tool.
Let’s hope they never release something really treacherous, not just munipulated into treachery. Nothing is beyond them. They have zero percent respect for human life, except their own, of course. Like a monster’s life has more value than ours. It’s they that deserve the gallows.
