Last night the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued a rare Emergency Directive 21-01, in response to a KNOWN COMPROMISE involving SolarWinds Orion products.

This was only the fifth Emergency Directive issued by CISA under the authorities granted by Congress in the Cybersecurity Act of 2015.

CISA reported a breach of the SolarWinds Orion products.

This Emergency Directive called on all federal civilian agencies to review their networks for indicators of compromise and disconnect or power down SolarWinds Orion products immediately.

Not sure how to interpret this breaking new. Part of me says yes, the Texas Rangers and US Marshals are collecting data for criminal charges. The other part of me says, here we go again, the FBI is directing law enforcement agencies to grab evidence so that it can be hidden and kept out of the public view.

I don't know if this is good news or more deep state cover-up.

Wow!!!!! I just put 2 and 2 together after reading another story. Can you say massive Russian collusion?

“....The cyberattack targeted Austin, Texas-based IT vendor SolarWinds. Hackers inserted a vulnerability into updates put out by the company between March and June of this year for its Orion software, according to a Monday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Reuters first reported that the hackers had successfully hacked into the Treasury Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Commerce Department's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).

However, the attack was likely even more catastrophic.

According to a post on SolarWinds’ website removed Monday, the company's customers also include all five branches of the military, the Justice and State departments, the National Security Agency, the Postal Service, and 425 of the U.S. Fortune 500 companies.

The Washington Post reported that a prolific Russian military intelligence unit known as “Cozy Bear” was behind the attack on SolarWinds. The group was previously tied to an attack on the State Department and groups doing research on COVID-19 vaccines and treatments. No federal agency had publicly confirmed that this group was responsible......”

I can't stand GP and its constantly misleading, sensationalist bullsh*t. It's a total joke. GP is an opinion site and clickbait farm disguised as a news site. boom! Boom! BOOM!!

GP is hard proof that you can turn sh*t into gold.
