From the U.S. Flag Code, section 8(d): “The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery.”

Does the code happen to mention anything about urinating on the flag and burning it in protest? I bet not since that desecration is now constitionally protected free speech. The rules changed long ago. Your code is hopelessly outdated and only functions now to serve the leftists in hampering patriotic expression.

This young lady is clearly a patriot. She chose to use her one picture for posterity to show her love for her country and for its flag. Shame on anyone who calls themselves a conservative who is too senile or stubborn to understand this.

The Flag Code says what it says. You might consider it to be hopelessly outdated; many view the Constitution the same way.

I will continue to show respect for the flag, even if that makes me “senile or stubborn”. You may do as you please.
