Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, Washington, rejected a student’s yearbook picture because she posed with an American flag draped over her shoulders. A statement from the school claims the decision was not made against what the flag represents, but out of respect: “We respect our flag as much as any school in the area and were concerned that in the photo submitted it was being used as a prop in the photo and was not being afforded appropriate regard.”
“The fact that I can’t have my senior picture in the yearbook because it contains the American flag in it amazes me,” wrote the student to her Facebook page on Monday, sharing a purported screenshot of an email she received from the school notifying her that her yearbook photo was denied.
“Are you kidding me right now? If the American flag offends you effing leave,” the student added. “Screw this school I want to switch Lewis and Clark High School.”

My natural assumption: The statement is a lie.
Actually, the school is correct.
But that ship sailed about 30 years ago or so. Maybe even longer.
if the school is antiAmerican it should close,
the teachers should LOSE their licenses to teach at least
(assuming the CCP-laden state has such), and
the state — for continuing antiConstitutional behavior
should be under ML.
The flag IS being rather casually handled in that photo. In a time before my time, such usage would widely be seen as very inappropriate. And there are still people around who take the flag that seriously. I don’t know if the principal is genuinely one of them or is now covering her butt, but it’s possible that the truth is being told here.
The CCP is desperate for resources. Oil and grain.

That is exactly the reason the student's photo was banned.
Anyway, that's just to establish where I'm coming from.
We went to Andersonville (yes, THAT Andersonville) to get the band pictures taken for the yearbook.
Bet they don't do that anymore.
Yeah...remember the days when it was poor flag etiquette to use it as clothing or adornment?

You’re welcome. I can’t believe how many people on this site don’t know the first thing about flag etiquette, and don’t bother to find out.
That Principal will probably have a school assembly to watch the Chinese flag raised over the White House in a few years.
