Father, Hear us;

It is no wonder that this has happened. In our time we have fulfilled the role of Laodicea, wallowing in our wealth and complacency. -- and a familiarity to Thee that borders on disrespect. Our worship has embraced worldly methods to attract crowds. Sermons have the objective of gaining approbation from those chit chatting and giggling in the sanctuary. We have opted out of a verse by verse approach to Scripture to "How is this applicable to you." A Wednesday night prayer meeting ay church -- too demanding of our allotted time.And if the once a week hour long message fails to entertain the pastor is shown the exit. In a crisis like this we tax our minds to come up with a "practical solution." Fail proof voting machines! More poll watchers! etc, etc!

Where is our modern day Billy Graham, our Charles Spurgeon, our Charles Wesley to call our nation to prayer?

(Malachi) “A son honors his father, and a servant his master.
But if I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is your fear of Me?” says the LORD of Hosts to you priests who despise My name.

“And now, you priests, this warning is for you. If you do not listen, and if you do not resolve to honor my name,” says the Lord Almighty, “I will send a curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have already cursed them, because you have not resolved to honor me.

Lord God, precious Jesus; Forgive our Laodicean spirit; we hear your knocking and sup with you about prayer and the precious Word of God. Please bless our Josiah, our dear President, for the upstanding leadership and beloved God-honoring pronouncements.

In Christ's name.
