Nah. I called IRS helpline and had them explain it to me. You can claim as many or as few dependents on your w-4 as you want. Just MAKE SURE you claim the TRUE number of dependents when you file taxes at the end of the year.

but the whole point was to not pay your taxes...
so... why would you file taxes at the end of the year and worry about getting the number of dependents “right”....?
