eventually there simply will not be enough food for everyone.My elderly neighbors on the corner have no guns but I do. So that will solve my problem in the short term. In the long term, I have other elderly neighbors too........

Don’t eat the very old. They are tough, stinky and chewy plus there isn’t much meat on them. Plus side is if they is old, they probably don’t have HIV, Hep-C .... got to weight the pros and cons on aged beef um meat.
