President Trump has filed a motion to intervene. If this is granted then he will become a party to the complaint. His motion describes how certain states ran elections that were not approved by the legislatures.

These new rules were aimed at weakening, ignoring, or overriding provisions of state law that are aimed at ensuring the integrity of the voting process.
