My friend who lives in Santa Clara County told me of an associate who traveled by car to a distant property he owns. He got an alert on his phone from the county telling him he must quarantine for 14 days. The same government who can contact you by your phone can also track you by it

He must have installed the Android California Covid Tracker. If you don’t install that, you won’t get tracked. The iOS version is coming in a few days, but requires opt-in.
