My wife got a phone call from her best west coast friend.
She and her husband are very conservative, and he is a military academy grad..
One of their adult sons living in the Sac area is living in a nightmare of Covid. His 80+ in laws are at his home in recovery.
Earlier this week, he got very ill and was taken by ambulance to one of the hospitals. Their ICU and ER were full so they kept him and 10 other people in their ambulances. He was sent home a few days later, still in the same ambulance.
His siblings and adult children are dropping off food baskets for him and his in laws.
So far his wife doesn’t have the virus. She is exhausted tending to her parents and her husband.
The rona is raging in these parts and it’s NOT “just the flu”.
Old folks a dying regularly.
