Update (1515ET): Just twelve hours after it was filed, the US Supreme Court has officially put Texas’s lawsuit against Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin on the docket, meaning the case will be heard.
On the grounds that there is a slate of electors selected by the voters and certified by the state in accordance with the laws in place on election day, and there is a second slate of electors appointed by the legislature after the election results were known. Two slates of electors, I guarantee the courts will have to decide which is the valid one.

Unless I misunderstand how a legislature works, they can indeed "make it up as they go along."

Where did I say that they couldn’t pass a law. That is Exactly what I have said. Follow the law or pass a law.
They can’t just willy nilly decide to do an act contrary to current law and make it the de facto law as you tried to claim.

I pray you are right... I have to believe that PDJT has known for some time these lawsuits from Texas and Louisiana were in the works. Sadly, it appears the GOP legislatures, institutions etc. of GA, MI, PA and WI are not up to the challenge of sending electoral slates described in the ECA as in “controversy or contest” to the Congress.
