The first story was that an announcement was made that the election center was closing down for the night and would open the next morning at a specific time. The observers all left. The workers then uncovered the hidden boxes of ballots and began counting.
Has all of that been substantiated, or has the story changed?
Also it was closed due to a ‘water main’ break. Turns out it was an overflowing toilet. If even that.
After all, there must be a secure area to store them and maintain a chain of custody.
Wonder what the reason is that the dozen (?) ballot boxes were not stored with the rest, to maintain ballot integrity?

There was a video them doing that. I saw testimony that used the video. There really is a video. It looked bad for the ballot counters to me.
The SoS claims they investigated and nothing was wrong, the ballots were legit and the observers departed of their own accord.
'The officials said the ballots seen in the video were in regular ballot containers -- not suitcases -- and they had been removed from their envelopes and processed while news media and election observers for the Republican Party and Trump campaign were present,' it found. 'The media and party observers were never told to leave because counting was over for the night, but they apparently followed workers who left once their job of opening envelopes was completed,' the chief investigator for the secretary of state told the blog. She said observers were free to return at any time, and state law allows, but does not require, they be present.
I find it pretty hard to believe the observers would just up and leave while counting was going on, and by the video it seems pretty clear they "tricked" into leaving. But who you gonna believe, the SoS or your own lyin' eyes?
