If you host a Christmas party in Aberdeen, Mississippi you could wind up on the police department’s naughty list -- or worse.
The Aberdeen Police Department announced in a shocking Facebook post that they will enforce a mandate from the governor’s office regarding China Virus rules and regulations.
"If you scheduled events please start making provisions to cancel them if they are going to be on the inside," the police department announced. "Please don’t try and figure out how you can get around it because the fine will take the majority of your profit."
Starting Monday – a curfew goes into effect. That should make it a bit difficult for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
And whatever you do, don't give the cops an attitude. Cussing, by the way, is also a no-no.
"Attitudes and cussing will be giving a citation for disorderly conduct and possibly a vehicle being towed so heed the warning," they wrote.
Oh, and be forewarned about the number of folks hunkered around the yule log.
"As far as Christmas parties, pop-up shops, card games, any social gatherings that exceed 10 people, we will be writing the tickets. We ask that you follow the mandate," the police department wrote on its Facebook page.
They say rules will be enforced and so will the financial penalties. Anyone who fails to pay 100 percent of their fines will be served with a warrant.
The brown shirts in the police department also warned citizens not to complain to the mayor or city council.
"Don’t call the Mayor or city councilman/ ladies, they can’t help you. We just want a safe and productive city. We appreciate everything you all can do to help us on this matter," they wrote.
Hundreds of shocked and enraged citizens wrote angry messages on the police department's Facebook page.
"This is a disgrace that this is happening in Mississippi," one irate resident wrote. "I’m pro-police. I back the blue. Until you overstep your boundaries. And this post is blatant tyranny. If you want citizens' support, I’d suggest more professionalism and knowledge on the law."
"Sounds like 1984 came true. Complete abuse of power," wrote another resident.
Someone should tell the jack-booted thugs at the Aberdeen Police Department that there’s a fine line between being a Grinch and being a tyrant.

I guess the First Amendment doesn't apply in Mississippi.

Hard to believe that Aberdeen, Mississippi is such a big town that the cops there couldn’t easily be doxxed. Consequences ensue.
A little over 70% “Persons of Color” so they may just be targeting the folks with darker complexions.
The police do themselves no favors acting in this manner.
If they enforce these insane rules, they will be hated by both sides equally.
Maybe the cops need incentive not to be communists.
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Only to be enforced against safe rule breakers.
We briefly had a gestapo police chief in the county who thought it was fun to harass veterans at the American Legion. The sheriff visited the chief. One week later the chief resigned and left the state.

The cops are destroying one of the most faithfully groups of Americans that still support them over a bunch of idiotic mandates-not laws. Our local department will not enforce a mandate from our governor or mayors office because they know in a courtroom they are going to lose. They may respond to a call but they suggest following the mandate and leave.
My son is a police officer and had dispatch, front desk duty on Thanksgiving and honest to God got a call from some woman reporting she was seeing more than 8 people at a persons house for Thanksgiving and she thought she should report it and break it up. My son asked her are they doing anything criminal, violent etc...? No just gathered eating. He said then why are you calling us, they are enjoying Thanksgiving? Her response well I thought it had to be done the governor’s (Andy the would be king of KY) told us to report those who violated his Thanksgiving policy.
My son responded you know this sounds like the 1930’s-1940’s of people reporting to the Gestapo on their family and neighbors to the state. The woman’s response was what is the Gestapo? He replied the secret German police that urged citizens to report on friends and family of anything deemed illegal by the government. Her response well I just thought... He cut her off and said, look these people are enjoying their Thanksgiving, if you want to be miserable then be miserable but leave these people alone and let them enjoy themselves they are grown adults making decisions for themselves, if you have a real crime to report by all means call us otherwise live and let live and he hung up on her. She didn’t call back...
I am quickly coming around to a “Defund the Police” attitude. Slam me if you want, but this fascist cop crap has got to go and having less of them may do the trick.

Please...I ask for your consideration...
Those of you who are placing Christmas lights/decorations in your yards, would you please avoid anything that has Red or Blue flashing lights together? Every time I come around the corner, I think it’s the police and I have a panic attack. I have to brake hard, toss my wine out the window, fasten my seat belt, throw my phone on the floor, turn my radio down, and push the gun under the seat. All while trying to drive.
It’s just too much drama, even for Christmas. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
