Nevada was a great and unique state once. Then California spewed Democrats over the Sierra Nevada like a horde of locusts and Brought their wal mart culture and politics with them and it is no longer recognizable.
Yeah, it increased my property value 8 fold, and I have been working my ass off to keep it that way, but as I edge closer and closer to retirement, I fully expect a full blown crash to happen right before I am ready to sell such that I will get much less out than the years of improvements and restorations.
The problem with Nevada is the unions. They have Vegas totally under mob rule. All of the hospitality workers, entertainers, etc are union.
The rest of the state, other than Reno, is pretty decent.
Interesting that Vegas is in a state of complete economic collapse right now. By all accounts, the people who *are* showing up are a completely different population than normal, and not in a good way.
