Every other day you hear that a pro or college athletic team has postponed or cancelled a game because one or two players on one of the scheduled teams tested positive for Covid-19. However, I have yet to hear of an active pro or college athlete in any sport who had to be hospitalized because of Covid-19, much less died of it.
It's like cancelling games because someone on one of the teams caught a cold or the common flu, and - of course - games are never cancelled for that reason.
My kid’s a college athlete. Cancelled their season for Covid. Many of his teammates tested positive, few had symptoms, and none even close to requiring hospitalization.
My cousin is a retired astronaut. Back in 1994 we were visiting him, this was just after his second shuttle mission. I asked him what does NASA do when one of the astronauts comes down with a cold. They can't stop a whole multi-million dollar mission just because someone is sneezing and coughing. And, he told me that they have a formula of vitamins they take the moment they feel a catch in the throat or start sneezing. And the formula is VERY similar to what the better doctors are recommending to their patients to build up their immune systems after having COVID.
It is Vitamin A 25,000
Vitamin D3 5,000
Vitamin C 1,000 (they add 2,000 if sneezing is active)
Vitamin B5 250 (pantothetic acid)
Zinc 50
This very similar to the D3 and Zinc they are recommending today.
I take this every day and I resent it when someone "reminds" me to put on a mask.
Remember the old saying - If they can send a man to the moon, why can't they cure the common cold?
They have had the cure for the common cold but unlike everything else NASA has been able to hand to American manufacturers that they have proven to work, like miniature calculators, cameras and baby diapers, NASA can find no takers for the cold cure. Lots of money in cold "remedies" would be lost. Ya know.
