While confusion has arisen in recent days in the media over "the moral permissibility" of using the COVID-19 vaccines just announced by Pfizer Inc. and Moderna, it is not "immoral to be vaccinated with them," the chairmen of the U.S. bishops' doctrine and pro-life committees said Nov. 23.
Bishop Kevin Rhoades of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Indiana, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Committee on Doctrine, and Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann of Kansas City, Kansas, chairman of the USCCB Committee on Pro-Life Activities, addressed the issue in a memo to their brother bishops.
A copy of the memo was obtained by Catholic News Service Nov. 24.
"Neither the Pfizer nor the Moderna vaccine involved the use of cell lines that originated in fetal tissue taken from the body of an aborted baby at any level of design, development or production," the two prelates said. "They are not completely free from any connection to abortion, however, as both Pfizer and Moderna made use of a tainted cell line for one of the confirmatory lab tests of their products.
"There is thus a connection, but it is relatively remote," they continued. "Some are asserting that if a vaccine is connected in any way with tainted cell lines, then it is immoral to be vaccinated with them. This is an inaccurate portrayal of Catholic moral teaching."

Nobody has asked you to do anything. If you don’t want to take a vaccination, don’t. Now, note that Israel has already ordered enough vaccines to cover half of their population, but AFAIK it is not mandatory (I’m sure the dosim would not take it).
I would like to see the good bishops’ response to the cogforlife.org article. I think the bishops are believing what they want to believe.
It seems the discussion of possie government mandatory vaccination is somebody asking me to do something. Like 911, somebody did something and thousands died.
My point is a religious argument in opposition of the Bishops position. I had no idea you were religious and was surprised to see you on such a thread. Perhaps you could elucidate your religious perception on the thread topic?
“No, they are far worse than aborted fetal cell lines. They use rDNA gene splicing to change your genes by splicing in gene sequences from other cell lines....”

You misunderstand the messenger RNA vaccines. The mRNA in the vaccines NEVER enters the nucleus of the cell and does not interact with the DNA. The mRNA in the vaccines goes to the ribosomes (the cells’ protein manufacturing machinery [isn’t God’s creation wonderful?]) in the cells’ cytoplasm. The protein that that mRNA instructs the ribosomes to produce are COVID-19 antibodies.
See here for further information:

Again: nobody has told you that you must be vaccinated. Religion has nothing to do with this.
Moderna’s technology is heavily based on earlier research that extensively used aborted baby cell lines. Any Catholic or other prolifer who ignores this is NOT BEING HONEST.
They might not be smart enough or motivated enough to understand anything that goes against their political or selfish agenda.
True.
“...The protein that that mRNA instructs the ribosomes to produce are COVID-19 antibodies....”

CORRECTION: The protein that the ribosomes produce cause the immune system to produce the COVID-19 antibodies. I “compressed” out a step.
Good news the Pharisees have said it’s OK
