Speculation about what happened to DrudgeReport and Matt Drudge. The lights are on, but nobody's there?
Read the article last night. Found it very interesting and a good read. Too bad he didn’t either give this to somebody who cared, or simply shut it down directly. My opinion it undermines his well-earned reputation to let it falter like this.
Sounds naughty
“Liberal” is NOT a “stretch”. I used to stumble onto it every now and then to see if they’ve come to their senses. They haven’t and will not I’m sure.
I stopped even looking at DR about a year ago.
Think FNC, Lincoln Project, Never Trumpers, RINO’s. What’s new?
Yeah the DR can pound sand like all the liberal leftist sites...
Hey, at least no one made a joke about Drudge and logs.
Who really cares about Drudge? I sure don’t.
Today, I get to choose from many excellent voices whose sites I visit for news and it sure ain’t Drudge!
A “has been.” Go away!
Drudge sold the Drudge Report years ago.
The link points to a website with a spinning T? No article.
Drudge pulled a David Brock. Brock is another hysterical homosexual who shifted allegiance from right to left. Good summary of Drudge’s homosexuality written by some leftists before Drudge flipped:

I used to have his site bookmarked. I would visit at least a couple of times per day. I have moved on.
#neverdrudge
Over the last 2 year I went from looking at it perhaps once a week to now never looking at it.
Matt Drudge contracted AIDS from Chris Wallace...details at 11.
I don’t think about DR unless it is mentioned on FR
It’s there.
I noticed that it took a little while to load also, but it did.
Pretty long article.
Matt became a very wealthy man with DRUDGE REPORT and never has to worry about money ever again. There are various estimates of his net worth but most have him well north of $100,000,000. That's lying on the beach without a care in the world money for the rest of his life.
Not bad for a man who started out in life rather aimlessly, working at 7-11, McDonalds and finally a gift shop at CBS Studios.
So my theory is that Drudge had an unexpected visit from some shady Deep State characters, probably sometime after Trump's election.
Conversation probably went something like this: "Nice lifestyle you built for yourself Mr. Drudge, would be a shame if you didn't have a nice long life to enjoy it."
OK, maybe I'm being overly cinematic here but it's quite possible that Drudge was more or less "persuaded" that it would be in his best interests to get off the Trump train, maybe sell his website and go live himself the good life.
