I was stunned where I read that in some states vote tampering could get a person only a year in prison or a $1,000 fine.

Might that be per instance? Per vote?

I believe it’s per charge.

That said, unfortunately the government usually drops everything to one charge. That really causes anger among victims and makes it easy for the criminal to do it again.

I would prefer a charge for every incident of any crime.
