After a wave of quarterback injuries, national anthem protester Colin Kaepernick tweeted out a reminder that he is still in playing shape and wants back in the NFL.
Kaepernick, 33, took to Twitter on Monday to remind the league and his fans that he is still working out, and wants a shot at resuming his NFL career despite refusing to participate in an NFL sponsored work out in 2019.
Kaepernick tweeted, “1,363 days of being denied employment. Still putting in work with @E_Reid35. Still going hard 5 days a week. #StillReady #StopRunning”
He added a video showcasing some of his quarterbacking skills.

33 and hasn’t played in how long? Last played an NFL game on 1/1/2017 (going on 4 years). Failed to impress in his “workout”. And everytime we come to crunchtime in the NFL and a mediocre team loses it’s starter we have to put up with this question by the Media idiots? When will the figure out that Colin K. has played his last game?

I see myself as a young 6’4” 260lbs tight end with soft hands Alas I’m a 5’6” 170lbs 66 year old who couldn’t catch a cold. Colin and I will be playing the same number of downs this year as we did last.
This guy was a system QB—he played in the PISTOL OFFENSE which was invented at the University of Nevada Reno.
The pistol QB stands 3.5 yards behind the line. A shotgun QB lines up 7 yards deep. The pistol is a hybrid—close enough to the line for a running QB but he can get deeper for a throw.
Kapernick was half decent when the defenses were not that familiar with the pistol. He’s done. Now he’s strictly a gimmick in the distant past.
