That didn’t happen to Obama in 8 years.
The Swamp rejected Trump. DC rejected Trump.
They thought people like Pelosi and Rubio would be around for 40 years, but Trump only four. That’s the way many of the agencies saw things. We have to keep this Senator happy and this Committee, but Trump is entangled and he’ll soon be gone. Every Investigation - they just ran out the clock.

get the trifecta in 2016.
Now these guys are happy there’s no chance of that again.
Trump promised to get the wall for us, and do a lot of other
things as well. He did the best he could.

It doesn’t work that way. The majority leader sets the Senate agenda. In other words, no chance to flip when the vote doesn’t even come up.
