Trump Legal Team Distances from Sidney Powell

A source who spoke to Breitbart News on background suggested that the team had hoped to work with her, but that Powell’s public claims had gone beyond the scope of the evidence they had seen and believed they could prove in court.

Powell had pursued a theory that Dominion voting machines, operating with Smartmatic software, were manipulable and had been responsible for switching votes from Trump to Democratic challenger Joe Biden. She also alleged that Dominion had worked with foreign governments, including Venezuela, and produced an affidavit purporting to support that allegation.

She had not yet provided evidence that votes had actually been changed, however, and has faced increasing public criticism.

I just listened to Rudy Giuliani's Saturday 11/21 podcast "Episode 527 - Our Multiple Pathways to Victory" on American Conservative University. He makes a very compelling case for staggering fraud denying Trump victory. He says he is presenting about 20% of the evidence in his possession in this podcast. All of the information presented focuses on extraordinary coincidences and statistical analysis. I pray he can make a good case in court. It sure convinces me.

I don't think this was as much a "distancing" but a "we are taking a paths to get where we both want to arrive". Powell is going after the GOP as well as the DEMS. There may be some conflict of interest issues here that can only be addressed by the two groups taking different paths.

This may be a strategy that was decided upon as a group. The fact that a statement was put out by the Trump group makes it official that those two paths are not the same. It may actually be a good move.
