I remember CTH talking about what happened that night. No one knows for sure, but the indication was that the cyber steal was being monitored in real time by white hats. If I remember correctly, there was a threat of a literal missile being sent into the building where the steal was actively taking place. Could be why the black hats took it out of the country this time.

What I remember of the rumors in 2016, was that the node for the computer fraud was in the Bahamas and maybe elsewhere in the Caribbean.
Curacao and T&T are both very corrupt, even by Caribbean standards.
