Where's the Evidence? Fox News Host Presses Sidney Powell on Voter Fraud. She Has Responded.

Fox News has had its moments during this election cycle. There’s been considerable frustration and anger with the hosts. Election Night was a disaster for the network. Other hot mic moments have infuriated viewers. They cut away from a Trump White House presser on voter fraud. It’s been a mess. Tucker Carlson appeared to have taken a swipe at his colleagues, noting you just can’t cut away from news coverage that you don’t like. Yet, last night, it was different. Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell says she has evidence of vote fraud. She said that it will prove that President Trump won in a landslide.

The voter fraud scandal itself, if true, would be the biggest in American history by more than a few touchdowns. It would be cataclysmic, to say the least—and yet—she didn’t come onto Tucker’s show. The reason: when pressed for evidence to back up these claims, she got frustrated and told Fox News not to contact her (via WaPo):

Tucker has seen enough (of Sidney Powell anyway)

As Fox News host Tucker Carlson noted on Thursday night, he’s more than willing to give airtime to outlandish claims. “We literally do UFO segments,” he said.

But even Carlson said he was fed up with the total lack of evidence produced by Sidney Powell, one of the Trump campaign’s attorneys, for her unfounded allegation that electronic voting systems had switched millions of ballots to favor President-elect Joe Biden.

“We invited Sidney Powell on the show. We would have given her the whole hour,” Carlson said. “But she never sent us any evidence, despite a lot of requests, polite requests. Not a page. When we kept pressing, she got angry and told us to stop contacting her.”

Carlson also noted: “She never demonstrated that a single actual vote was moved illegitimately by software from one candidate to another. Not one.”

… Carlson didn’t discount the larger claims of Trump’s attorneys that massive fraud disrupted the election — an allegation that has been repeatedly dismissed in court and for which the White House has presented no public evidence.

[…]

The segment also put Carlson at odds with other Fox News hosts like Jesse Watters, who on his Thursday show described Powell and Giuliani’s news conference as “a big shot of adrenaline.”

Well, she responded this morning (via Washington Examiner):

Trump attorney Sidney Powell fires back: Tucker Carlson was 'insulting, demanding, and rude' -- https://t.co/leMZ1Scj7d -- for @dcexaminer pic.twitter.com/CTDKxZnJql— Daniel Chaitin (@danielchaitin7) November 20, 2020

Sidney Powell, an attorney on President Trump's election legal team, shot back at Fox News host Tucker Carlson the morning after he said she "got angry" and refused to provide evidence on his show for her claims of voting software flipping votes.

"No, I didn’t get angry with the request to provide evidence," the former federal prosecutor said Friday morning during an interview with Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo.

"In fact, I sent an affidavit to Tucker that I had not even attached to a pleading yet to help him understand the situation, and I offered him another witness who could explain the mathematics and the statistical evidence far better than I can. I’m not really a numbers person," she added.

"But he was very insulting, demanding, and rude, and I told him not to contact me again, in those terms," Powell concluded.

He said, she said, but pulling back from this spat between Carlson and Powell—there needs to be some sort of significant development regarding her Dominion allegations, a sequel that should drop soon—something—because the clock is running out.

Unfortunately the media are too full of themselves to evaluate anything fairly. Pre-Trump, the media were the national kingmakers. All were expected to kiss their rings and accept everything they said at face value. Now they presume to be not only kingmaker but prosecutor, judge, jury and executioner as well. “How dare you withhold evidence from our nightly chat shows? How dare you question our conclusions and right to talk over or contradict guests? How dare you elevate courts of law over the court of public opinion of which we are the supremes?”

As I understand their calculation, the PERCENTAGE of votes changed the more Republican the district became.

If it was simply votes, the graph would have trended downward. It was the % of votes. That should have remained roughly constant. The percentage increased. No way that is possible.

I don’t care for Tucker, I never have. He burns both ends of the candle which some folks could claim is fair and balanced. However, I don’t see him as a Trump supporter, or the GOP in general.

The only one I like is Maria B. She asks good questions and she allows folks to answer. I like Shawn, but he interrupts too much.

The rest aren’t worth the energy.

Tucker could have READ the affidavit for us, the audience to hear. Why didn’t he?

Tucker and the other pieces of schiff at Fox News could have watched the press conference yesterday. There was tons to report from that, and it needed to be repeated multiple times. But did any mainstream media outlet do that? NO.

Tucker is just parroting the DNC liberal talking point which is ‘No Evidence’. He was considered a conservative by many but alas no more. He now has the liberal sickness for which there is NO CURE!

Sworn affidavits are evidence.

Sorry Tucker, Sidney Powell does not owe you a scoop. It would be awfully stupid for the Trump team to reveal the evidence they have gathered, subject witnesses to violence/harassment, etc.

Besides, since you work for Fox, I’m not listening any more.

Rudy explained it yesterday, they have hundreds of affidavits and they aren’t going to show them to the media where these people would be harassed, threatened if their names were ever exposed which absolutely would happen.

That audit is a good idea ... AFTER the stae legislators assign their electoral votes to whom it was that had a lead which could not be legitimately overcome with the percent of ballots left at the time the stop the counting command came from ‘someone’ to WI, AZ, VA, MI, PA, and GA. If the subpreme court seeks to remedy the election, that moment in time is the place to toss all subsequent ballots out as suspicious.

I am curious to listen to Tucker tonight to see what he has to say regarding this. He could have invited BOTH Sidney and the other Math Wiz witness to his show. Why didn’t he?

Maybe they have different points.

This is all very sad. Things are crumbling around us. We are now turning on each other. I see it here on FR.

We can’t just go into an echo chamber with our news stories. That is the problem with newsmax etc.

I sure hope Powell comes up with the goods.....soon.

No they didn’t. In fact the cable news shows had Adam Schiff-for-brains on regularly where he claimed there was evidence Trump had committed treason. They never asked to see proof of such an outrageous statement then. They just took him at his word with absolutely no evidence. Turns out he fabricated that story, but the media never apologized to Trump or America for believing such an unsubstantiated claim in the first place!

YOU lie. You do not in fact hope there are ‘better’ statistical cases. You are working for the wrong team and pretend to be pro TRUTH.

It is becoming clear that what Fox is doing is worse than just not doing investigating, they are actively trying to discourage public support for the Truth regarding the massive sedition in play. They are aiding and abetting the sedition.

So FOX is no longer a NEWS organization? You know, where they investigate stuff and report their findings?

This vote fraud information is available only to the world and Powell? Tucker and Fox have no access?

Fox News has literally advocated overthrowing foreign governments with less evidence of election tampering than what Sidney Powell has.

Very much not the case.

He’s pointed out examples where mundane chicanery has clearly occurred, and mocked the other networks for pretending it doesn’t exist.

In regards Powell’s claims it is more complex: she hasn’t produced evidence - but assuming she had it, she wouldn’t the details of this type of evidence at this stage until she has a chance to declare it in court.
