LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Thursday ordered restaurants, bars, and other businesses licensed to sell alcoholic beverages to close by 11 p.m. to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
The directive takes effect Friday and continues through Jan 3. It comes amid a surge in new cases and hospitalizations.
Hutchinson said in a news released that a panel of physicians, healthcare executives, and elected officials recommended the directive.
“This is a balanced approach that is limited and targeted as we work to reduce new COVID cases in our state," Hutchinson said.

Soo.... the virus only spreads after 11:00.
Because, somehow this virus is particularly nasty after 11 PM, but only in restaurants and bars that have a liquor license...?
NO - he realizes that the only significant weapon he has is that license - he used the same weapon back earlier when restrictions were being lifted to penalize a venue that was going to have an event the day before the scheduled step to the next phase (following all those guidelines). He finally had the ABC yank their alcohol license and it stopped them cold...
Ye - the same virus that waits in hiding for those who walk from their table to the restroom in a restaurant without a mask...then POUNCES on them!!!
Hutchinson was a solid member of the “NeverTrumpers” in 2016. But Trump was ignorant of it, apparently, as he endorsed Asa over a genuine Conservative that tried to primary him...
