I just got out of quarantine yesterday from testing positive for COVID and having symptoms. It was the mildest head-cold/flu I have ever had.
Plusease ! don’ give such an ugly choice.
While I was in college I worked in a hospital as a nursing assistant. I worked in an isolation unit. I had to learn about the "sterile field." When I gowned and masked up and when I removed the items, I had to do it in the correct order and make sure I did not nullify the sterile field.
Most people using masks do not wear them correctly. The paper masks should be changed once an hour. I told the checker at Kroger's that and she said, "Well, I can't afford that!" So, what do people do? They wear the mask over and over, they share them with their spouses, they place them in their pockets and pull them out when they enter a store. If we were all trying to stay as hygienic as possible should we follow ALL the rules?
But that is not the point. It doesn't matter how you wear the gear as long as you show compliance in just placing it across your face. You can let your nose show, you can wear it on your neck, and you don't have to wash it at all. For anyone to think that what they are doing is "really helping" is laughable.
The last time I wore a mask was in 2014 when we were doing some remodeling. I used goggles and an N-95 mask while I was scraping a ceiling. I had a good reason for wearing the gear as I did not want dust and paint particles in my nose and eyes. I do not need to wear a mask when I go to the grocery store.
It was a well planned and executed plan. China releases the virus and sends it out to the world. They hype the virus to get shutdowns. The shutdowns stop most commerce in the US.
They attack Trump on anything he does about the China virus.
They demand mail in voting, and right begore our eyes they steal the election. If this fraud stands we are done....
IS this possible? I just talked to my BIL. He was talking to his pharmacist today who told him that people are getting cold symptoms they are going in for COVID testing. Because colds are a coronavirus the tests come back positive for COVID when in fact it is just a cold.

Last week on the 9th, I started with a mild bug of some kind. I had aches, low grade, intermittent sinus headaches, fatigue, and my appetite was off. I had NO classic COVID symptoms.
It lasted for the most part, Monday and Tues. By Wed I was starting to feel better. It was literally the mildest illness I have had in YEARS. More of a nuisance, than anything.
By this past Sunday, all the symptoms were gone.
Now, if I am sick and self-isolate until 10 days has passed, my fever broke, and my symptoms were gone, I could get out of isolation.
If, however, I got a positive COVID test the week after, I would have to self-isolate for 10 day from the date of the COVID test, never mind that my illness had passed by then.
Way to discourage people from getting tested.
DON'T get tested.
If, for some reason, I comes back positive, even if you are not sick, you have to self-isolate for 10 day and they track you and keep tabs on you.
Did you actually have COVID, or only think you had COVID based on your symptoms?
I’m under no illusions about the effectiveness of the mask wearing.
I am not doing it to protect me or anyone else.
I’m just doing it because most places I want to shop at require it and I am doing it out of a courtesy to them.
If some mask nazi sees me without one, they will give the store owners trouble they don’t deserve over it. I won’t do that to them.
So it goes on at the last possible minute and comes off the first step out of the door if my hands are free.
What astounds me is the number of people who wear them all the time outside and from the inside of their cars all the time they are outside walking to the store.
Finally some learned human tells the truth.
If an Alberta ping range ever emerges, let me know.
