So how do the two vaccine candidates compare?
Both the Pfizer and Moderna jabs use technology known as mRNA, which introduces into the body a messenger sequence that contains the genetic instructions for the vaccinated person's own cells to produce the antigens and generate an immune response.
One of the main differences between the candidates is how they need to be stored. The Moderna vaccine is much easier to distribute than the Pfizer jab, around which there are concerns.

The Moderna vaccine can be transported at usual refrigerator temps. and the dose needs no further prep.
Pfizer needs super cooling and dilution with a special liquid just before use.
I'd want the Moderna as less handling and no dilution so less chance the dose is compromised.
Which one has the most politicians invested? Particularly Fauci.
I couldn’t get past the cookie thingy. Does the latest version require two shots?
I would rather have the Russian one, because it is not an untested MRNA drug.
I have no idea the long term autoimmune problems the others may cause.

Untested? They’ve been working on this for over a decade. COVID-19 is simply the first to go through clinical trials.
And clinical trials they have done! Both have been through all the same phase 1, phase 2, and phase 3 clinical trials as any other drug or vaccine goes through. That’s tens of thousands of carefully monitored volunteers testing these over the course of several months for any signs of adverse effects. That’s just in the US. They’ve also been in clinical trials in countries around the world with tens of thousands of other closely monitored participants testing everything.
There’s nothing “untested” about these. Just because it’s a newer approach doesn’t mean it’s untested or bad. In fact, mRNA vaccines are cheaper and faster to produce, meaning we can look forward to much more effective seasonal flu shots and much faster vaccine development in the future. It’s not by accident that two mRNA vaccines crossed the finish line first. A decade from now, I doubt there will be any market for anything else. It’s just a better way to do things.

Don’t doubt me for a minute that this whole COVID-19 thing was not just to try to open the economy and get rid of President Trump but it’s also a giant marketing plot by the vaccine industry
The vaccine industry is on the order of two or $300 billion worldwide and they have over 100 yes 100 vaccines they would love to get the government to force you to take at least once a year and pay for it of course
I call them do gooders from hell. They think they’re trying to help their very scientific but they do innumerable harm to people

Well at least at first you’ll be lucky to be able to get either one of them.
This is incorrect. You have the freedom to refuse a vaccine, but there’s a great deal of evidence that they work.
Reportedly, Pfizer did not use abortive fetal tissue and Moderna did. If this pans out, it will impact some as to which they would want, if given any choice.
Not if you understood how the Russians do business when it comes to Quality Control. Russian QC sucks across the board.

let me know in 10 or 20 years when everyone who used mRNA ‘vaccines’ gets some horrible autoimmune disease
Most of the people who will get these vaccines early on are old enough or at risk enough (COVID aside) that they likely won’t be around in 15 years.
Working vaccines will not only buy a few years for a lot of people (we DO care about that, right?), they erase the need for lockdowns in most peoples’ minds (VERY important!), and save huge $$ in hospitalizations, treatments, and people not working because they are ill, quarantined, etc.
Do vaccines have some risk? Of course. But these look to be low risk, even now. The late John W. Campbell had no patience with people like Joe Biden who demanded zero (or effectively so) risks. To paraphrase: “Fine. Drop dead and we’ll fly you into the sun. You couldn’t take the risks of life.”
I’m not quite that extreme. But I’m beginning to see his point.
