I’m sure this varies state to state, but in general, when can a citizen sue a police officer, personally, for violating one’s civil rights? I’m asking because I think the time has come to make it clear to any law enforcement officer who attempts to enforce these kinds of restrictions that, if nothing else, they are personally going to pay a very heavy price in the form of having to pay a heap of legal fees to defend themselves. I say this as the uncle of a young man who will graduate from the police academy next month in one of the most liberal counties in the country.
Which begs the question: Where has the ACLU been with all the lockdown insanity going on? Crickets!
