"The “absentees” have to be counted but she is up by 22K."

I've been following, because I live in her district. She lost by less than 1% last time. Brindisi is a POS, and I hope he's gone for good. I remember when he was Oneida County D.A. He did a horrible job. I knew one of the people who worked in his office at the time, an she said he was "useless." I was a Correctional Sergeant at the time as well, and he was very reluctant to prosecute inmate assaults on staff.

Anyone know how this last seat looks?

This has got to be the only Presidential election in history where the candidate for President lost and yet had coattails.

We did not win the House, we lost. We narrowed the Dem majority a bit. "Coattails" would be winning a majority of House seats. And we lost Senate seats. In 2016 we won 241 seats with Trump topping the ticket. In no way was this a good election for us.

Any moderates left in Democrat party will have power as Pelosi cannot lose many votes on her legislation with 10 margin.

This is a big win. Rose might have been there a long time if he got entrenched.

I’m Democrat? Really? If the Democrats can run a walking corpse and generate 77 Million votes then there is not chance for another GOP President.

It took a couple of election cycles before all the so-called moderates Pelosi brought in in 2006 were replaced by pubbies. So, the remaining “moderates” that were elected in 2018 might revolt against the radical Sanders/AOC agenda Biteme signed on to. If that agenda goes forward they’re dead in 2022.

The fraud is blatantly obvious in the presidential race, that didn’t stop them.

I think the problem was that Trump’s lead was so huge, even with the dominion software, that they did not have the time to flip these seats with fraud. Remember, the fraudulent Biden votes were marked only for Biden/Harris.

Downballot margins were far smaller for many Democrats than in 2016. That’s a plus. I think Trump’s problem was that he spent too much money on rallies, which amped base turnout by measly amounts (the typical turnout is over 80%* of registered voters, which means there’s not much juice left in that orange), and not enough on ads, which try to sway undecideds.

* % of eligible is in the 60’s. But getting eligible people who aren’t interested in voting to register and vote is easier said than done.

We were defending a lot more Senate seats than the Dems.

If the President can do his magic, this would be a solid win.

“Magic” is when _you_ don’t know how the trick is done. :-)

“I’m Democrat? Really? If the Democrats can run a walking corpse and generate 77 Million votes then there is not chance for another GOP President.”

Especially if that corpse is sworn in on 1/20 and they “win” the Senate after the Georgia run-offs - then the filibuster disappears, the courts (not just the SC) get packed, DC & PR get admitted as states, 20 million illegals get amnestied and made into citizens in time to vote in 2022, and the fraud machine remains not only untouched, but becomes even more sophisticated as they learn lessons from this time around.

No, you’re no Dem, just realistic.

The coattail analogy has nothing to mdo with a Party taking control of either chamber. It simply means other Party members being elected based on the popularity of the one heading up the ticket (and usually winning except in this case as of now)

“The coattail effect or down-ballot effect is the tendency for a popular political party leader to attract votes for other candidates of the same party in an election. For example, in the United States, the party of a victorious presidential candidate will often win many seats in Congress as well; these Members of Congress are voted into office “on the coattails” of the president.”
