Liberals urging voters to move to Georgia to vote in the January Senate runoff elections may want to think twice moving to Georgia for a short time just to vote is against state law.
But how long a new arrival has to stay in the state without breaking the law is not clear, according to reports. Gov. Brian Kemp declined this week to get behind his fellow Republicans' push for a special session to tighten voting rules ahead of the runoff elections, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Does GA have an income tax? If so then Id check the new voter rolls if I were the tax collector.
I dont know why you would be allowed to vote on races when you are new in town and dont know the candidates.
I visited a friend in Selma Alabama some years ago. She was telling me that just before the election that brought Selma its first black mayor that cars from Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois were all over town. On election day there was a huge influx of mostly white “voters” each with a rent receipt signed by a black politician certifying that they were renting a room or a house from her for just the required length of time to qualify as a resident. The results were broadcast that night, and the next day all the out of state cars and strangers were gone. The democrats have been running that kind of fraud for years. I’m betting that they did the same thing for the presidenital election in Georgia.
So do we know this to be true?
How could Fox write an article on this subject and never even address the legality? That is journalist malpractice!
But what else would I expect from the new woke Fox News?
All the chatter raises the question: Is it legal?
The answer is: yes, but any potential voters would have to move quickly since the last day to be registered for the Jan. 5 contests is Dec. 7. And, the new resident also would have to stay in the state for a while or risk getting into trouble.
Under Georgia law, anyone with a legal primary residence in the state can register to vote with their county board of elections. The law does not specify a specific time limit.
A spokesman for the Georgia Secretary of States Office, which oversees voter registrations, declined to comment on how quickly someone could establish legal residency in Georgia, but cited state law that it is a felony to vote in Georgia elections if you are not a legal resident or if you are residing in the state briefly with the intention just to vote and then move away.

According to Giuliani, it was Gov. Kemp that ok’d the Georgia purchase of dominion voting machines. He did this even though they were made in Valenzuela with Chinese parts, and had a reputation of problems. Apparently Kemp had a friend that recommended them. Was their a kickback remains to be answered?

It will be be so discouraging if we lose the Senate because two Republicans insisted on running against each other for Senate.
Spirit or letter of the law? Who cares except lawyers. Of course moving to Georgia just to vote is fraud.
Yes. You had to live there in order to vote.

Apparently only voters who voted in the first round can vote in run off. Or did I read that wrong.
Gov. Gump selected Dominion while he was Sec. of State. His former chief of staff is currently a lobbyist for Dominion.
Republicans’ in Georgia are just glorified democrats that changed their clothes to become republicans in an effort to get voted into office.
Apparently only voters who voted in the first round can vote in run off. Or did I read that wrong.
As I read sec (10), you have to have been *registered* to vote in the Nov. 3rd election.
It’s not illegal - it’s a loophole.
Another one who just woke up with a horse head in his bed.
Easy Peasy Solution:
ONLY THOSE VOTERS WHO WERE REGISTERED TO VOTE ON NOVEMBER 3, 2020 CAN VOTE ON JAN 5!
GA Legislature needs to act Real Soon Now!
Pass that legislation~!
It is a FELONY to come to GA to register to vote if you do not plan to stay:
21-2-217(3) cant register if just in state temporarily
21-2-561 - felony for giving false registration information
21-2-571 - felony for unqualified person to vote if he knows hes not qualified
How would they ever know, though? Its not like they are going to follow up with millions of people.
It stinks, just like the absentee ballots that showed up on Nov. 4
I think they had to have voted in the regular election to vote in an special election
