Senate candidate Jon Ossoff (D-GA) is campaigning on a ban on the sale of semi-automatic rifles and high capacity magazines.
On his campaign website Ossoff says, I support a ban on the sale of semi-automatic rifles (assault weapons) and high-capacity magazines to the general public.
A ban on semi-automatic rifles, which he referred to as assault weapons, would be a ban on AR-15s, AK-47s, and variants of both platforms, together with numerous other commonly-owned semi-automatic rifles, which happen to be some of the most popular firearms in America.

The Nazi punk from Georgia weighs in...
What happened to the NRA? Are they just being drowned out by all the Bloomberg money, or do they seem especially quiet this last election?
Well, maybe we could discuss this after the next revolution!
You mean “standard capacity” magazines?
This crap started well before most of us were born, it’s only gonna get worse till punks start hanging
Dang, do they really want a civil war?
Ossoff has attracted controversy regarding financial compensation received from PCCW Media, a company which has supported the Chinese Communist Party. (wiki)
We are in a civil war. One side has been burning, looting, shooting, and beating the other. One kid shot back and is being held on millions of bail. The war is on the choice is let it be a one sided fight or finally take the battlefield and clean house.
He is headed for a January 5, 2021, run-off election against pro-Second Amendment Sen. David Perdue (R-GA). The race between Ossoff and Perdue is one that will decide whether the Senate remains in Republicans pro-Second Amendment hands or falls to the pro-gun control Democrats.
How many Demonrats have moved to Georgia? Because I’d assume this would guarantee his loss in the senator runoff.
Said every democrat, ever....
Of course if they take the Senate it will happen for real, no doubt this time
Turn in your semi-autos to him. Muzzle first...
There is a little problem with that. In DC v Heler the SCOTUS decision specifically said that they can not ban firearms in common use. The AR platform rifles are and have been the most popular rifles with by far leading sales for the last decade.
If that is not common use I don’t know what is.
Cali courts have also found that banning high capacity magazines is the same as banning firearms. Yep, that from a cali federal court.
If you take a look at the situation of our present SCOTUS and the fact that the dems failed to take the senate, then our guns are safe for now.
This is a big F U to the dem gun grabbers.

The Senate is still in play for the Democrats. They win both Georgia special run off elections, the party split would be 50-50. That would give the Democrats control with VP Harris being the tie breaker if Biden does in fact win.
The last time I looked Perdue had 50% of the votes which would exclude the need for a runoff.
He won’t get the hog hunting vote.
